JeffLinDesign is Now JeffStyle
I hope everyone’s new year was great (I know I’m a few days late..)! Much of the time during my winter holiday was spent moving my hosted files over to Media Temple and designing a logo for JeffStyle. I’ve imported all my blog entries from labs.jefflindesign over to this one, which was extremely easy thanks to the great import/export functions in WordPress! I’ve also tweaked my blog design a bit, and I’m not completely content with the entire setup, so I’ll be modifying the design from time to time to try new things out.
As 2009 has already begun, I’ve decided that I’m going push myself to be a more active blogger! I hope that will inspire myself (and maybe even others) to push my skills further and also allow me to expand my network with more talented people in the industry.
Don’t forget to subscribe to my new RSS feed (via FeedBurner), and follow me on Twitter.
Back at RIT for Senior Year!
This summer was a busy but super-fun one! My internship at ROKKAN was mind blowing! I really got into OOP (Object Oriented Programming) and briefly went through AS3 – Matt Wright was a really good mentor, and taught me a great deal. I’ve done work for Deutsche Bank, 4Kids.tv, Time Warner, Jump Shoes, and Jawbone, just to name a few. The only project that is live right now is the splash page I did for Jump Shoes, I’ll post other work as they become live. All the peeps at ROKKAN were very welcoming and they really took care of me. It was an awesome experience that I’ll never forget.
I’ve also been freelancing for Thumbplay, a mobile content company/community located in the Soho district of NYC, it’s been a blast!
I’m currently sitting in Jason Arena’s Dynamic Persuasion Design Class right now, and I hope this class is as great as all his other classes! Hopefully I’ll be able to bang out a couple of portfolio worthy pieces – I can’t wait to graduate and continue working in the real world!
summer with rokkan + graffiti wall
I got accepted to [Rokkan] as a design intern for the summer, I’m PUMPED! They’ve got some awesome work and clients, I’m feeling closer and closer to my goals in life. I can’t wait till I graduate next year and go out and do awesome professional work.
Jerlyn and I went to the legal wall in rochester today, it was cold but we took some pics! She took out her rebel xti that was on loan from the cage, and the panorama came out great!

designlife relaunch
I’m relaunching this blog (previously at jefflindesign.com/designlife), partly because I want to start blogging my design stuff, and also because I deleted the previous blog from my webspace after becoming fed up with countless spam comments. I just found out about the Akismet plugin for wordpress and have enabled it. Hopefully this plugin and the changed address will help prevent much spam from getting posted.
I went blog template browsing this morning and couldn’t find anything better; Hemingway is still my favorite. I modified it a bit. I’ll probably change it up more when I have the time.
To my New Media Design Peeps – If you have a design blog that you’d like to get linked up with, let me know! You know where to find me… You can link to my blog using this address: http://labs.jefflindesign.com.
I’ve been working on my flash portfolio, and I’m hoping to have it done this weekend, so I can send it out. I’m also planning on designing some quick business cards and getting them printed at overnightprints. I requested a sample pack and received it within 2-3 days, the samples seemed to be of decent quality, and their prices seem fairly cheap. Hopefully I can have them designed and printed before FITC I’m looking forward to this trip, it’ll be a much needed, educational getaway from Rochester.
